　　1925年，在瑞士日內瓦召開的關于兒童福利的國際會議上提出將6月1日設為“國際兒童節(jié)”。至于為什么是6月1日這個日子并沒有一個準確的答案。一種說法認為是由于1925年，位于美國舊金山的中國總領事將一群中國孤兒召集在一起慶祝端午節(jié)，而當天正好是6月1日。
