　　Onthenightofthetwenty-fourthofDecembereveryyear,FatherChristmasfromsomecoldnorthernlandcomesdownthechimneyofthefireplacetoputPsentsbythebedsofchildrenortofilltheirstockings.Sowhenchildrengotobedthatnight,theyhanguptheirstockings,andonChristmasmorningtheywaketofindthemfullofPsents.Ofcourse,it'sreallytheirparentswhofillthestockings.

　　傳說，在公元300年時，有一位名叫SaintNicholas的善良老人。他經(jīng)常幫助窮人。

　　現(xiàn)在的圣誕老人是杜撰的人物，但是幾乎所有的孩子都深信圣誕老人確有其人。在孩子們的眼里，圣誕老人是一位蓄著長長的白胡子、穿著紅紅的長袍子的，快樂的老人。

　　每年12月24日晚上，來自寒冷的遙遠北方的圣誕老人，會滑下煙囪，把禮物放在孩子們的床邊，或者裝進襪子里。所以，孩子們睡前都會把圣誕襪高高掛起，第二天醒來時就會收獲滿滿的禮物。當然，這都是拜父母所賜。

　　圣誕老人還有一個名字叫SantaClause。
